who we are
Our Story
LMC Childcare Solutions set up in 2019 by Claire Fitzgerald and her team.
LMC create bespoke services to support the development and training of Childcare providers as well as supporting local families access activities for their children. Claire Fitzgerald and her team have over 20 years experience within every aspect of childcare. This has supported the creation of a service to develop and improve services to children and young people.
LMC have created different programmes for providers that are bespoke to their services. With a new focus on cultural capital LMC provide an individual package for providers to express their own ethos within their own training and now are delivering these to children at our on site childminding setting.
LMC Play has been set up as a Social Enterprise during 2020 to help develop programmes such as stay and play, baby massage and post natal support for families with young children.
Childminding

Training
LMC deliver face to face training for mandatory and CPD up-skill services. In house and at our local training centre
PlayGroup

Who are we?
Claire Fitzgerald;
Claire set up LMC in 2019, she is the course content writer and trainer at LMC. Claire is committed to outstanding outcomes for children, with vast experience of working in the Early Years sector. Claire has been a Deputy Nursery Manager, Childminder, EY teacher and EY assessor. Claire is also a safeguarding expert, with experience of being a School Governor. Claire has experience in supporting settings to change and adapt their practices to get the best outcomes for children.
Lorraine Swainson;
Lorraine joined LMC in 2020, she is the quality and delivery specialist. Lorraine supports settings to manage training and adapts existing courses to suit individual settings. Lorraine has vast experience working in the Early years sector. She began her journey as a nursery nurse, then working abroad with Children. Lorraine returned to be an area manager of a group of creches and has experience within EY recruitment. Lorraine met Claire assessing for an OUTSTANDING training provider and had a vision to support all staff not just apprentices.
Mel Askew;
Mel joined LMC in 2020, Mel is an experienced director of a Nanny Agency. Mel is also a qualified assessor. Mel oversees all of LMC's recruitment, so please go to our recruitment page for more details. Mel will also be delivering some of our CPD courses, she has a vast amount of experience within the sector including being a OFSTED Registered Nanny, Childminder and Nursery Nurse.
